A Global Approach To Learning

In the construction of a successful learning strategy and global approach to learning, various external and internal factors must be accounted for. A holistic approach to learning requires the careful consideration of the effect of an increasingly globalised world. For organizations to be successful, they must move with the inevitable tide and become adaptable to the shifting trends and demands around the globe.

A large aspect of modern education must involve engaging our younger generations in international education in preparation for our rapidly progressive future. Our millennials will be the drivers of globalisation, thus must ensure a resourceful and prosperous future for our planet.

An internationally minded educational system entails extensive tuition in global issues and processes, such as planet sustainability, global partnerships and trade agreements, a healthy economy, and social justice. The way learners will benefit and absorb most from international education is through experiential learning. This learning style is key to achieving the educational objective as learners are able to actively and constructively engage in international issues and happenings for an informed perspective of the world.

A core component of a sublime global approach to learning and understanding is the construction of creative problem solving and critical thinking about real-world problems. Traditional learning frameworks revolve around written assessments and exams, lacking the developmental and interactive aspect of modern learning. To face potential problems of the future, educational institutions must embed an international focus in educational objectives for a holistic approach to working toward and maintaining a healthy future.

To engage learners for the development of agile and experiential learning, strategies must be adopted for the boosted productivity and understanding of complex concepts. Creativity must be employed for continually innovative styles of learning, such as introducing microlearning with gamification. Microlearning is a modern, forward-thinking approach to learning where learners are faced with 3-5 minute microlessons in which information is released in small bursts. Learners can progress through their course content at their pace and in their own time. Gamification is a widely-employed learning tool where gaming elements, such as star bars, leader boards and point scores are incorporated into courses. It is particularly appealing to younger generations and students due to its resemblance to actual games. Gamification invites learners to immerse themselves in their global approach to learning journey and to become proactive in their engagement with their course content.
