What about books | conferences?

So, for the record, let me say when and why books and lectures make sense. We act in the world and reflect on it to cement the lesson. And when not. Hopefully I won’t have to answer another “what about books | conferences?” To start, learning is action and reflection. That is, learning ‘outside’ formal instruction.

Learning Through the Wild

One of the larger learning lessons is that, once you’re in context, the interest is naturally sparked, and then you’re ripe for a message. Your curiosity gets stoked about why coyotes howl, once you hear them. Meaningful engagement in context is a valuable prerequisite for learning.
