APRIL 27, 2010 [Library, Module] SkillSoft's inGenius: About adding meaningful context.
SkillSoft recently (about 3 weeks back) announced the launch of inGenius. This social learning layer will integrate with SkillSoft's Book 24X7, a vast repository of technical and IT-related literature that many organizations use as off-the-shelf content to enable their employees. eLearning Technology , while applauding the effort SkillSoft is making to integrate Social Learning, does criticize the fact that they are tying this to SkillSoft and to books as learning resources. OCTOBER 14, 2015 [Library, Module] #HRTECH Learning Vendors Preview – Who to see and who to avoid
Biz Library. There are few and I mean only a few who follow this pattern (example: Skillsoft), where the course library is the primary and the system secondary. The second way, is you can purchase the LMS without buying their (Biz Library) courses. If you just want the LMS, then the best fit IMO is SMB (Small to mid-size business). If you go the primary route, courses #1, LMS included, then any market will work. No, it is when people looking for systems assume that every LMS follows the module approach. Welcome, welcome all! Some would call that vapor.

They prefer options such as video on-demand, digital asset libraries, mobile and other forms of just-in-time learning. When pest control and exterminator service Orkin first introduced its video on-demand learning module in 2005, employees were intrigued but skeptical, said Greg Baumann, vice president of training and technical services for Rollins Inc., learning courseware company Skillsoft experienced a similar situation when it first invested in pull types of learning technology. In 2001, the company purchased Books24x7, a digital asset library software company.

Meridian has partnered with companies like MindLeaders, SkillSoft, InfoSense, and other third-party content providers to help clients put together custom learning packages. They talked about how they are using the IDP (Individual Development Plan) module in the Meridian LMS.
