I also still like Facebook and Twitter just fine, too. Others like LinkedIn. As I've said before: Don't like Facebook, Twitter, or Google+? Or Ning groups. Or [name your tool]. (As Ask for your money back.) I don't know why we feel there has to be one magic tool to rule them all. will it ever end?

Consider Your "Loose" Connections This Memorial Day

I think this is why it disturbs me to hear some people who are so dismissive of social media and online interactions and distant or "loose" connections. Through social media, especially Twitter, I have cultivated a network of smart, funny, interesting people who have never failed to come through when I asked for something.
