It does have some interesting features, including a scenario builder, a selection of learning games and Flash import, and exports to SCORM 1.2 On the other hand, if you want a free tool to use right now and it will work with your LMS (or you don't need an LMS), then why not?

Slides without presenters: three options

PowerPoint > Articulate/Adobe Presenter > Flash > LMS/web site. You can upload the output to an LMS (with SCORM interoperability if you need it), to an intranet or to any other website that you control, but you won't get the mass coverage you get on YouTube/SlideShare or through mobile devices.
