BT was most intrigued by the Podcasting Kit for SharePoint solution that runs on Microsoft SharePoint as it would leverage existing technologies and investments, align with BT’s knowledge management and collaboration strategies, and address the key challenges and goals expressed by the BT Learning Council.

Some researchers at Microsoft have done something really creative for their screencasts using PIP! Microsoft Research used the following setup: a camera plus a tripod to record the person at the whiteboard, the eBeam capture software running and Camtasia recording the computer screen.
Check There are a couple elements that can make screencasts interesting and engaging. Motion from drawing on the screen with something like a Tablet PC or Wacom tablet make a screencast dynamic and can focus viewers attention.

I don't know where this appeared from or why but it seems that Microsoft has a rapid e-learning development tool. My best guess is that this is a tool used by Microsoft itself or by one of its contracted developers, and someone suggested making it more widely available. It's a desktop tool, it's easy to use fairly versatile as long as you are prepared to work within very strict templates. although I couldn't get my test material to play in Moodle). I'm not It's available for free download and there don't seem to be any strings attached. I'm not completely convinced because

With Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007
Interesting - but I remain quite skeptical - especially regarding "MOSS 2007 as your default option for enabling and managing social networks for business use". This situation can influence decision-making - people may prefer to evolve with Microsoft over the next couple of years as they figure this space out - especially for internal deployments.
