The product? Office Mix. The cost? What is it?

State of the Authoring Tool Industry
MAY 16, 2016
PowerPoint still reigns – If you are a course purist, the idea that PPT should be seen as an authoring tool should make you grumble with disgust. . Strange, since I could find no evidence, no information from multiple research standpoints, that Microsoft pitches it an authoring tool. E-Learning vs. Really Good E-Learning
SEPTEMBER 28, 2015

Will: I put a ton of time into creating PPT slides for my workshops and presentations—and I’ve developed some beliefs over the years that may or may not be true. Will: I have a new favorite font, but while it’s in Microsoft Office, when some of the online meeting tools convert it, they replace my beautiful artsy font with a boring font often of the wrong size. I was shocked.

Let’s see Microsoft has only been announcing the coming of Windows 8 for several months, but as usual desktop authoring tools are behind the times.
