The initial person who thought buying SumTotal was a great idea (initially it was) and then dumped it for a fortune to Skillsoft (another great idea), which in turn was someone at Skillsoft thinking this was a great idea, which turned out to be false and was a factor in Skillsoft going into bankruptcy due to the albatross known as SumTotal.

The authors had to use some LMS (SumTotal, NetDimensions, Moodle, etc) OR the Email reporting feature of Adobe Captivate. This tool enables CP users to analyze the CP course results in a better and an organized manner. LMS is though, always a better option, but along with its so many advantages, it comes with a heavy cost also.

SumTotal Learning Management – They have come a long way. I readily admit for the longest time I was not a fan of SumTotal, but that was then, this is now. I’d like to see more on the administration side, and while the system is top tier, to me it is still missing some data visualization tied to extensive metric data.
