I personally found it useful to create a storyline offline using paper and pencil, weed out the weak links in the story asking the question "so what" as I moved along. The form cannot be taken for granted. It is finicky to the extreme and demands perfection. The restraints force innovation.

MOOCs can thus be a happy blend of the offline and the online, the synchronous and asynchronous, and offer a complete course for those who wish to take it but does not stop anyone from dropping in and out of the course as well. Many MOOC-ians from a specific course also get together and arrange meetups in the real world.

Hence, the communities that organizations facilitate – online or offline -- should consciously enable the coming together of diverse individuals. I can also synch it so that I can access my notes when I am offline. Edit, print out, e-mail directly and also share ( the way I have done with these notes ) In short, Evernote allows me to filter the web, take what I want and create my own notebook.
