Adobe, recently announced moving their open-source development to Sourceforge. Looks like a desire to speed up their open-source development around the Flash platform. The new portal called Open@Adobe will hold Adobe’s open source projects in coming days.

It’s an open source project implemented in HTML5 and JavaScript. Primarily, it reads the binary SWF file and renders its animation and audio content to standard web compliant format. Smokescreen project is an effort to bring Flash player to the iPhone/iPad without installing the Flash plug-in.

open source software options: Audacity. Mixer–no open source ones out there, but Audacity does a lot. Save to CD, swf, avi, mp3, Quicktime. software: GarageBand, iTunes, Camtasia, ProTools LE, Office 2008. I’ve never heard of doing podcasts in Camtasia–he says he uses ie when he wants chapters.
