You can easily modify these images in Adobe Photoshop and have a creative new brand for your project. Open your image in Adobe Photoshop and use your favorite tool to create a selection around the head/jaw/face. Once the head is selected, remove it by selecting Edit/cut from the top menu in Adobe Photoshop. Select head.

The obvious program for a tablet is Photoshop. Even though the wheel on my tablet should mirror the wheel on my mouse, sometimes it’s just easier to zoom real fast in Photoshop with my mouse than it is trying to navigate that with my tablet. But a tablet is that much more awesome. There are some tasks that are just easier with a mouse.

At a minimum the template should come with the Illustrator and/or Photoshop files that were used. A good graphic designer can do a lot of the visual design in the target software thus making is easier for the end user to make edits. Are the graphics at a high enough standard to use? There are too many ugly templates on the market.

What works very well with Storyline is the ability to insert a picture (let’s say from Illustrator or Photoshop) and easily change the picture out whenever you want a new image but keep the same triggers and animations. But sometimes the ability to edit and design within the tool isn’t cutting it for your “racecar” game.

So, we need to look at this a little differently and focus on the range of colors—kind of like we would if we were working in Photoshop. You could have them do multiple poses and then cut out the background in Photoshop. If you’d like to use a guide in your course why not take pictures of a colleague or friend? Make sure that you use a high enough quality setting so that you can have full screen images that look crisp. There are tons of stock photography sites online.

For those using Illustrator, Photoshop, or InDesign, color swatches from Adobe Color can be directly imported into your project for easy access. Adobe Color is an extremely useful online resource for making any and all color scheme decisions. Each color scheme consists of five specific colors, which may all be tweaked to fit your needs.

In other software such as Adobe Photoshop or Xara Xone, the process is similar in choosing a Matte color. In the export options under the tab named options, you can change the Matte color from that white to something a little less noticeable in your image. I chose a grey that matched the right side of the GIF. Happy GIF-ing! .
