Test Driving Google Labs' Similar Images

As they describe it: Similar Images allows you to search for images using pictures rather than words. I did notice there were some images not in the least related, like a few pet pictures. With the similar images feature, most images have a link below them that lets you find other images like them.

Go to their website to read the details of the Icarus Project and find links to pictures and interviews - [link] I am sure we will be hearing a lot more from these MIT students. FYI: The time lapse video is shaky because the cooler that held the camera was not stabilized.

Video Studio Design - Equipment is on its Way

Below is a picture of the empty studio. I learned that if one is necessary, I can actually use a windshield reflector that is bought inexpensively at any auto supply store. It may not look as professional, but will save 40 to 50 dollars.

As I toured the center, I tweeted a few pictures and some notes, which I am sharing below. Last week, I had the pleasure of touring the Johns Hopkins Medicine Simulation Center. This is a training center that uses numerous types of simulations - everything from live actors to mannequin and online sims.
