I like using the PowerPoint backgrounds in my Cp projects. I don’t need the PowerPoint master slides, just the background image. Importing that PowerPoint background into my Captivate master slide applies the background to my title, content, quizzing, and all the other slides in the master slide series. And here it is!

I get a lot of requests for software demos and quick tutorials. Above is an example of a PowerPoint screen scaled down to fit in a small recording window. Here’s an example of what I do: Let’s suppose I am recording some PowerPoint tutorials. I also want the window to be 4:3 aspect ratio. png or powerpoint.png.

For my demos, I decided to stick with PowerPoint to show that if that’s all you have, then you still can do quite a bit. PowerPoint 2010 comes with a background removal feature which makes it really easy. Older versions of PowerPoint have a simple feature that lets you make a single color transparent. A way to see the word count for your presentation is to click File > Download as > Microsoft PowerPoint (.pptx) One (slightly inconvenient) work-around would be to create a PowerPoint file with a custom colour palette and import this into Slides by uploading and converting your PowerPoint file to a Google Slides file.
