From This Episode

Host Mark Magnacca: “What’s the biggest change in terms of how people are learning at JPMorgan Chase since the start of the pandemic?”

Jesse Jackson: “The biggest change is a bit of a paradigm shift. Pre-pandemic, I was under the belief that speed kills. You see it on the highway signs: slow down, speed kills. What I certainly came to grips with is that speed could save our lives. And nowhere was that more illustrated than our ability to move to work from home posture and really over-index on employee and customer safety.

“As we think about what’s happened as a result of COVID, in many respects, it meant that I needed to accelerate how we ensure everything is digital for everyone that we need to engage on, and not just digital, but high fidelity. Really ensuring that we’re being much more intentional with respect to the duration of the different types of learning that we’re doing, the surgical precision of how we administer that to the job families that we have the privilege of caring for.

“That required not just speed, but it required a level of specificity that allowed us to ensure that even with this disruptive change in our global economy, that we’re able to support our clients, support our employees without disruption.”
