Why would content experts want to store their expertise on the “system” in the form of a podcast, knowledge document, blog, or discussion thread? Rather than simply providing monetary gifts so that community members focus and concentrate on narrow targets such as sharing a certain number of podcasts or knowledge documents during each quarter, we need to explore new ways of intrinsically motivating learning community members using building blocks such as autonomy, mastery, and purpose.
Learning or professional communities are “healthy” and beneficial to the organization when its members are intrinsically motivated to participate and contribute.

One of my colleagures approached me yesterday and said “your Super Learner podcast was brilliant!” 8221; I had forgotten that I made the podcast then decided to post it on my blog to see if other people find it useful and thought provoking.
The podcast describes skill sets of a super learner and what you can do to identify, develop, and enable them.

Companies have an opportunity to supplement their existing collaboration capabilities with newer tools such as podcasts and social networks to accelerate the sharing of knowledge, increase teaming and augment communication between their workforces in different regions,” he added.
Will social media improve productivity? Is it vital to the company’s success? Will “employees” use the media? A recent study provides some interesting insights and evidence.

I made this podcast in Dec 2008 in order to describe a “vision” for the future of learning in a business setting. The The podcast is 7 minutes long and arguably not delivered in a “phenomenal” way. I recommend this podcast to individuals who are very interested in “social learning” and who have a desire to get a bit deeper into the subject. This This podcast is not suitable for individuals who want a 1 or 2 minute “elevator speech” or who have little patience for detail.
In this podcast I describe how to incorporate

Having outlined the conceptual terrain of podcasting, it's time to look at the nuts and bolts of podcast production. In this part of the series, I won't delve too deeply into script-writing: I'll return to that subject in a later series of blog posts, but if you have a look at my series of articles on instructional design to understand my orientation on theoretical and pedagogical approaches to this activity. Today, I'm going to talk about digital audio, and the basic hardware and software you'll need to begin creating your own podcasts. As I indicated yesterday , the principles of multimedia have been understood for over 80 years, but wide usage of digitally factored technology did not begin in earnest until the 1970’s, because theory had to wait for hardware and software to catch up. Until recently, recording audio cost many thousands of dollars, used specialized and sophisticated equipment, took up lots of space (in the form of a dedicated recording studio), and required years of specialized training, followed by years acquiring hard-earned OTJ experience to make even the most basic recordings. In the last five years

My previous blog posts on podcasting have focused the human side of podcasting: narration, story-telling, communicating with your audience. I've looked at what you say, and how you say it, dipping liberally into the eighty or so years of accumulated skills and knowledge from radio broadcasting to reinforce my arguments - after all, content is king, and radio is still the place where people talk. Now, it's time to spend a little time understanding the technical aspects of podcasting. Don't worry if you've never so much as looked at a sound file before. Recording and producing
