OmniSocial is a social learning platform, with learning management capabilities and with the ability to select individual apps in the system and only use those you select to install onto your web site or learning portal. One of the biggest problems I always saw in the products was the back end, i.e. what the administrator sees and has to use.

Ability to offer ads for products or ads to specific sections for folks to visit – for each child (sub-portal) - yes – every child can be skinned to look a different way then the parent. Admin side – simple to find sections, easy drill down. Can list “feature” courses.

SCORM, AICC, xAPI – Which one do I need?

SCORM, like any product, has had various releases or iterations. Further, if you have a good understanding of the type of data and information you want to gather, as long as you make sure your chosen content creation system and learning portal both support xAPI you could go with just this support. vs SCORM 2004 as it was newer.
