Master slides in PowerPoint are very powerful and they are easier than ever to do with PPT 07. When using a rapid e-Learning authoring tools that runs off PowerPoint I always start with a template that uses master slides. (or Just click New Slide and choose a layout. see last image below.). SlideShark is a great (free) way to view PowerPoint presentations on the iPad. All you need to do is upload your PPT to a secure online account and they’ll convert it. You can also swipe up to reveal a list of your slides. You then use the SlideShark app to download and view your new presentation. Colors remain the same.

Is PowerPoint the most widely used tool for eLearning development? It seems that everywhere I go in the eLearning world I run into PowerPoint. Most of the new authoring tools either use PPT as their backbone or offer the ability to import slides. Using these new tools meant that I had to start using PPT.

In PowerPoint go to Articulate / Flash Movie. From the Insert Flash Movie window choose these settings: Display in slide. Advance to next slide “When user clicks next&#. Movie plays independently of slide. Bonus – eLearning PowerPoint Backgrounds. Publish the flash movie as.swf. Select your.swf.
