Underwhelmed by the built-in slide transitions in PowerPoint? PowerPoint has almost 50 transitions to choose from. Credit where it’s due, PowerPoint does subtle transitions well. But on the other end of the spectrum PowerPoint’s “exciting” transitions are downright cheesy and, for most use cases, distracting.

Importing that PowerPoint background into my Captivate master slide applies the background to my title, content, quizzing, and all the other slides in the master slide series. And here it is!

Most standard corporate templates have white or light backgrounds so using darker colours like grey, navy blue, dark green etc. If your organization presents at conferences often, then it will be worth investing in developing a dark version of your corporate template. can give your slides a more prestigious “conference” look.
