How many people create courses in PPT and just upload it? If you have a trainer or an instructor and they are going to provide a session on whatever topic, you would expect them to know that subject matter inside and out. If they have the LLM, they need to provide it to you. You would never let them just go with whatever.

A PowerPoint is not an effective means of e-learning, although one person told me what did a PPT have to do with any of this? What I care about is providing insight and information to folks, who might be unaware OR has a general interest in acquiring knowledge. Quality e-learning is interactive and engaging.

If they were looking at a new role in the company, they were provided (or should have been) content related to that new role. And when it came to onboarding the premise was provide them the information they need quickly, to onboard them quickly and have them into the fold. Everything was job role based. . For some people WBT is merely sticking a PPT online converting it to Flash and whalla – a new course. The EL247 provides capabilities specifically for mobile devices and folks on the go. How do you provide enough information, without writing the next War and Peace? Show Content (PPT, Video, other) during session. Degreed has done a nice job with their updates, but the analytics page needs a mass overhaul, as it doesn’t provide enough information IMO, especially with segmentation of data visualization.

Cannot move slides in the arrange mode – i.e. once you upload the PPT with the slide order, you cannot move say slide #9 to spot #4, rather you have to do this in PPT and then re-upload. The screen also provides you with the following choices (which you can choose/add as many as you want, depending on the option).

Here is what will happen if people used the power of their authoring tool (sans Studio, which is really a PPT converter). And I equally agree that many authoring tool vendors do not provide tutorials on how to build a course (not just how to use their software).
