For the price of $1,500 or so to attend (non-member), and even near 1K to attend as a member, at least provide something, rather then free ice cream at 3 p.m. For PPT lovers, you can synch video files with PPT with drag and drop. You can also connect the iPad PPT to a monitor and show it there. It is 100% bogus.

Jesse saw a post where I pointed to slides from a recent presentation and he commented: A PPT slide deck is a horrible way to convey anything significant. So, my questions are: Given my content and my limited time, how should I choose my medium to provide the best value to people reading my blog? I have limited time to spend.

The fact that this is one of the general sessions at ASTD TechKnowledge is interesting way to start 2009. Some lower-end, PPT + Audio tools will do well with none winning huge shares of the marketplace. And while Harbinger has provided some interesting tools that are essentially mash-ups for authoring, not sure I've seen much adoption.

It implies that each of us has a natural inclination toward learning of some kind, and that if that natural inclination can be identified then teaching experiences can be provided that facilitate our learning. Obviously, there is diversity in learning. Perhaps the best way to handle this would be on the next screen. Or a job aid.

As a teacher I knew all about Pedagogy and could create a great lesson and provide a excellent learning enviroment, I had great reviews and my students/trainees achieved great results. I was glad for my education background, because I managed to make the best of the source (a PPT file).

while still provide all types of training – regardless of the topic – to people anywhere in the world, day or night, 24/7. Ask them if the person speaking will align to their presentation (if they are also showing PPT slides or materials) and are going over them at the same time. Time Savers.
