(as To me it's simple, I learn in workshops, I learn from TV, I learn from working with other people. as you saw in my last post I did enjoy the conference!)

I managed a team of facilitators whose role was to deliver face-to-face workshops to staff, from entry level, through to senior management. Other than the elearning component it was really a case of, 'training' = workshops. I see that its still a case of, 'training' = workshops, and face-to-face at that! What do I see today?

I use Powerpoint in some of the workshops I run, not all, but when it suits the audience, venue and most importantly learning objectives. Plan your workshop. Provide a separate handout with the details. . It will be quick but it won't lead to an interactive and interesting workshop. Each slide is free so why cram it full?
