Equally of interest, are the increase in open source systems that offer for a fee, hosting on their own servers, rather than on yours. Oh, they offer SaaS for a fee, but you can host it on your own servers for free. Prediction.

SaaS product – but here’s the thing – if you want the course to be in your LMS – it can but it still sits on the ZZ server side and not in your system (should note that the LMS connectivity is available only in the $40/u version). To me, that is a major misstep, although I understand why they do it.

3 Demo Chimp – Back in the day there was this amazing authoring tool called Rapid Intake and the guy behind the whole thing was Garin Hess. So, one server goes to another server on another vendor’s site. I know it won’t be flashy or knock my socks off (does anyone use this phrase anymore?)
