Text chat, rss, blogs, team collaboration. That said, it is still a very good product and one I would have no problem recommending to any consumer. Fun Features. Multilingual. Task management. Layers, objects. Tagging (and not the graffiti kind). Project(s) dashboard(s) and Publisher dashboard. Publishes to HTML5. Learning Curve.

If you doubt this, look at how many vendors are now offering social learning – which they see as chat rooms, discussion boards, wikis, RSS feeds and a blog. . The problem thus lies in being behind the curve. Great, if it was 2008 or in the case of discussion boards and chat rooms, perfect for 1996.

Can upload other files, like documents, PDFs and as you noticed have links including RSS feeds. Real time refresh – which means you do not have to click refresh to see the latest files, content, etc. – I liked that. Everything has analytics tied to it (sweet).

Is it me or does it seem that most vendors in the LMS/LCMS market still believe that with some smoke and mirrors, you won’t realize that social media actually must be integrated into social learning for it to exist? We are sick of the RSS feed and then super lame YouTube links. Greater than 90% send out links to information. One way really. Again, if this is part of your system.a micro-blog great, but how interactive can this be. I’m sorry but watching a video link, is not engaging social learning in my book.

You can purchase an add on module which tosses in things like a RSS feed and some other features, but again, they are limited and so waaay in the past. If your goal is to incorporate and offer social learning as part of your LMS, then this is one system I would not recommend. The standard features are a blog and wiki.

We are sick of the RSS feed and then super lame YouTube links. So, if you include Facebook like in your LMS, wouldn’t it be logical to assume that people would follow the same approach and mechanism, that they use in the actual real Facebook product? Another one that is dragging, are RSS feeds. The reason I believe is that folks are using comments more and more with various functions and the fact that most consumers are no longer using chat in their day to day lives. Chat comes as a messenger, not people sitting in an AOL chat room. . Everyone has it.
