Blackboard (corporate) – but I’m hearing that their web conf component (usually extra cost) is having issues (according to some readers). Spoke (Yes).

Still in existence Saba – Today? The first inkling of RCATs was a product called Dreamweaver, which was designed for web site design.

I once had a five-level LMS with a gallery, library for checking out materials, “lounge” for chat rooms, and group rooms, ‘classrooms’ for instructor led, with a connection to a web conferencing tool for webinars. Regardless if it is an LXP or an LMS, 90% can integrate with a web conferencing solution via an API.

It is the same assumption that unless you buy one of the Big Dogs – Saba, SumTotal, Plateau, etc., Specifics. That is so wrong. .

It’s original term was WBT – Web-Based Training, not to confuse it with CBT -Computer based training, which were courses that you take on your computer, often on a CD – but never accessing the internet with your modem. .

If a vendor tells you they are not in the content business, I can only assume they must be in the web server business, because without content, that is all you have – a web server. This falls in line with the lack of 3rd party content geared towards Web apps that folks use. Uh, where am I at a brokerage firm in the mall?
