Lync is the new family brand for the products formerly known as Communications Server, Communications Online and Communicator. Lync has been designed to work with Microsoft Office, SharePoint and Exchange, which reduces end-user adoption hurdles. Microsoft Lync Server 2010 support will be introduced in a future release of ProtoSphere.
