The most popular technologies used are instant messaging (74%), wikis and team workspaces (67%), and blogs (51%). And I'm certainly seeing a lot of SharePoint. An example of that is the adoption of Distributed Content Editing via an agreed to technology such as Wiki, Shared SharePoint Documents, Google Docs, etc.

Wiki + SCORM + Add-ins will become more common for easy authoring. Luckily a few will also add in more community and wiki capabilities. Unfortunately, these will be even worse than Sharepoint, the solution you already hate. Some lower-end, PPT + Audio tools will do well with none winning huge shares of the marketplace.

This stuff is definitely not exact, but it gives a general indication. Twitter is a hot topic right now as compared to some others.

This could be: SharePoint, Yammer, Confluence, etc. I agree with John that rolling out an empty Wiki or other enterprise 2.0 If an organization has SharePoint and InGenius, my preference would be that social interaction occurs in SharePoint. InGenius should integrate into SharePoint. It’s clearly the Amazon model.

My gut says these tools are going to be separate from the LMS, e.g., SharePoint. For web pages, wiki pages, PDFs, Word Docs and other standard content that's easy. And this whole question is becoming more complicated as we look at the integration of the LMS and Social Learning. For courseware it can be hard.
