Secondly, there seems to be a trend that if a consumer purchases only one 3rd party content provider (if available in that vendor’s marketplace) – it is either LinkedIn Learning, Open Sesame, Udemy or Skillsoft. .

Skillsoft is another brand name. Skillsoft’s content is a mixed bag. One vendor who offered it is Skillsoft, and they had one course. . Nothing against WW, but it is not Harvard. Skillsoft debuted a new LMS, but I would say it is a major work in progress. Before angling towards Lynda.com or Skillsoft, I’d search them out. And traffic as a whole was strong. Percepio from Skillsoft, houses only Skillsoft courses at this time. If it is a bundle, look at each course. With Linkedin Learning which comes with all the content via Lynda.com, you are stuck with what you have. But you still pay extra for the courses. Hey, thank you for that. A major accomplishment, and while I have zero proof here, to me, Skillsoft is a key factor in this IMO. SumTotal Learning Management (Formally known as SumTotal Learn) jumps over from Steady to Leader in just one year. I have known SumTotal for a long time, and I can say, that this latest version of the product is by far the best version.

Maybe Skillsoft didn’t want to invest more into SumTotal, it was a strange relationship – I mean dysfunctional would be kind. The reporting UI/UX is old school, dated and just, no, no and no. Learner UI/UX is above average, definitely in need of updating, ditto on the Admin side. Mobile is good. Valamis – $$$ to $$$$.

I consider them the first, because Skillsoft just acquired course publishers, NetG – who acquired the most amazing video course solution, which could run on 38.8Kps, and you could bookmark the courses – unheard of. The other way is to look for a vendor who is going to cover the topics needed for the majority of your learning program needs – everything from compliance (say from Skillsoft) to leadership (for example from Harvard Manage Mentor).
