In Captivate, is it better to have fewer slides that are more complex or more slides that are less complex? For example, i’m working on a course introduction and i’m wondering if it’s better to create a title slide, an introduction slide, a how to use this course slide that seamlessly auto-advance or to create one slide that’s all those things before advancing to the objectives.

Would love to hear your guys’ thoughts.

If mixing the two slides in one longer slide, there will not be much difference since the total number of frames is the same. I don’t label such a slide as more complicated.

However real decrease in file size can be possible when using actions to have dynamic content on one slide, when replacing advanced by shared actions, by inserting multiple instances of the same asset etc…
