5) SumTotal ToolBook. SumTotal ToolBook is another mLearning authoring tool. The learning material includes interactive content, assessments, and software simulations. Like Persona Learning, however, there is not a free download on their website that you can easily use to try it out.

The next generation of authoring tools included a handful of really serious players, notably Authorware (now with Adobe) and Toolbook (now with SumTotal), both still going although not so strongly. Of course these all came and went as PCs gradually dominated the market for hardware and Windows took hold.
