Case Studies. I like to use case studies when a scenario is too simple. A case study would be more intense and could include background information, bios on persons involved, current setup/date/time, multiple phases/steps, twists along the way, and decision points. Case studies take some time to create but can be very engaging.

Tests can also include case studies and system simulations. They won’t be distracted by the aesthetics or letters.

Scenarios and case studies are a great way to get away from overusing the next button. Try using hotspots and clickable areas. Why not present a series of images that a user clicks?
