I had created self-standing documents (course design templates and design specs) that anyone could pick up and use--even non IDs--making the process person independent. I realized I had done a number of things right and therefore I was dispensable. I had reduced all dependencies on me. I had effectively pushed everything off my plate.

It was a crisp one liner that said, “ Use the attached template for future updates.” In the distribution list of this update were the key stakeholders from the client’s end as well as ours—one of them being my co-blogger , colleague, critic, and someone who pushes me really hard to expand my intellectual frontiers.
