I understand this list is more inclined towards tools that learning professionals use for their own learning as opposed to those used for creating learning programs or training sessions. Very very impressive, with mega features including desktop sharing, audio/video, whiteboards, along with remote administration tools, a moderating system, and a tool for importing documents in 32 different formats, integrates well with Moodle, but you do not need to have Moodle. Linphone - VOIP, works with Mac, Windows and Linux.

It’s a great tool for so many things, but not everything. It simply runs side by side with Zoom or any VoIP you prefer. The company HQ is in San Francisco. Partners and vendors span the globe. If the presenter is using VOIP, then audio is recorded during the presentation, because the audio is coming through the computer’s speakers. Most systems do not record the audio from attendees, even if they are using VOIP, but some do. Even in that case, again, some systems have an option that it is not recorded. Transcript Time.

When we use the Internet to interact, even in something as mundane as a VoIP concall, it is pretty much the same thing. Getting people to acculturate to the World of Warcraft doesn’t seem to be difficult, you just invite them in and tell them they survive or die. The virtual world is that same way too. Q: We use WebEx as our web conferencing tool. via VOIP, mobile, telephone, etc. The problem with the web conferencing tools that currently exist (as a whole) is that none of them are 100% perfect. Q: I loved Authorware, but today I can’t find an authoring tool that can match it or even get close to it.

Content authoring tools that have to be used on the desktop of your cpu, no longer is required. Wishing there was a way to enhance your learning experience, with such products as augmented reality, virtual worlds or VOIP? So, why aren’t tools like this available in a system or authoring tool? The usual standards though – whiteboard, screen sharing, VOIP – funny, I saw one vendor pitch that they include “VOIP toll free” – what? VOIP is usually free – that is why people have it. Fuze, last year’s fav; doesn’t include it for its first level pricing.

For nearly all of our project communications within LearningAge Solutions we now use Basecamp, an online project management and collaboration tool. Most realtime communications between our team (all of whom are based at different locations) are via Skype which we use for chat, VOIP conference calls and sending files to one another.

Although there will be other types of content creation tools, I see the lack of Flash support as a huge limitation for course developers. Text chat is an obvious use and VoIP services should work. For a variety of reasons that probably only insiders understand, both the iPad and the iPhone do not play Flash movies. Delivering Content.
