Week 7: Twitter & Yammer: Day 1. There is SO MUCH to talk about Twitter that it is hard to choose and condense into five posts.  So, stay with me on this one… First: TWITTER. Twitter has become the number 1 tool for learning in just three years – voted by hundreds of learning professionals in this survey at Jane Hart’s site. As a personal learning tool, Twitter is great but it’s a public platform and what you share on it is available to everyone, some organizations may need tools which can be installed behind their firewalls (Laconica, Yonkly) or that is available as a secure private service (Yammer). Sometimes people might say: ' Ok, but twitter is not learning. From a behaviourism point of view, twitter might not be very relevant as a means for learning. However, from a social-constructist view you might see a twitter network building relations.
