Flipping the class with Ed Ted

If like myself you make use of YouTube videos in your lectures and classes, then I feel certain that you will have come across the Ted Talks , so I was really very pleasantly surprised when the other day I discovered Ted Ed lessons worth sharing. Furthermore you can even add additional questions and content to each lesson you choose.

Training starts for 2013

When embedding a YouTube video into a package I have always made use of the ''Share/ Embed and Use old embed code'' option. If you go to this site [link] and copy the video url and hit the generate but, a number of embed code outputs appear. Having mentioned technical glitches we did experience one.

Given all this, I do still continue to see articles and postings where clearly the application has worked well, then the other day I came across a YouTube video ‘ The Basics of a Facebook Page for Educators’ If you have not seen this for yourself then I can recommend it as a good starter.

End of term roundup

There however one small glitch in the way YouTube appear to be presenting link options, as one of my selected videos no longer had the Old Embedded code available associated with it. I was pleased to see that requests appeared for Wimba Create training before the end of term, and the session ran really well.

Decided to get Mooc'ed

watched video clips and hovered around the edge of actually registering for one, I finally took the plunge recently and signed up to a MOOC. We also had recordings on WizIQ, Google Drive, YouTube, and Vimeo. Having read about them. The course: - Second Life MOOC ran from April 1 to 30 2014.
