Cass Sunstein , an amazing legal scholar, says that one of the dangers of the internet is that we’re only hearing like voices, and that makes us more polarized. What’s incredible about the net is we have this opportunity to hear more voices than ever. Homophily can make you really, really dumb.

It is up to us to do the talking, to raise our voices and make enough noise that will force some folks out there to take action. Our individual voices may not be loud enough but collectively, we can create a roar. And as I write, I realize that this immensely powerful beast can't speak for itself.
