I created a voicethread on the subject and a prezi which give some examples of tools that fits within these categories and could be of use within education. The next step will be to create a voicethread to get some audio onto this and to start showing people the tools. I wanted to post something that got back to the purpose of this blog - my learning experience. So I thought I'd reflect on what happened last week and how my thinking moved on.

The VoiceThread below gives a very good explanation of what web 2.0 A must see and experience site is Museum 2.0. Nina Simon is the blog author and she does such an excellent job of making museums accessible for those who just don’t get out to visit these wonderful resources.

Outside this top 10, a few other tools rising sharply from 2007 to 2009 include Ning (31 to 11), VoiceThread (101 to 19), Jing (unranked to 20), and Google Apps (101 to 38). It was March of this year when I last highlighted the great work that Jane Hart does on behalf of the Learning and Development industry. So it is high time that I give an update, and Jane has provided me the perfect excuse as she recently announced the final results of the 2009 edition of her survey of Tools for Learning .

This is maybe a less intimidating version of some of the functionality embedded in VoiceThread (below). You set up an account at VoiceThread and upload your video, or your pictures, and then either share the link or embed the video in your site. Oh wait, what about the ability to export your VoiceThread to something like say an iPod? So I was looking at XMind - mind mapping app - and it looks good and all but especially considering the air-tight lockdown on desktops across the federal government, I really can't even look twice at something that requires an install. I
