Sometime after the game launched, I became aware of the Common Gateway Interface (CGI) standard for the web. What this did was allowed web pages to do backend processing based upon user actions, and then programmatically change the front end. A set of trusted web resources : That’d be Wikipedia, pretty much. Favorite web course platforms : I haven’t really taken online courses. Of course, I keep Chrome and Firefox around for when something doesn’t work (e.g. Qualtrics). I use Pixabay many times to find images. I keep my own bookmarks using my browser.

Twitter bought TweetDeck, which seemed like it could be a good thing, but it seemed to hamstring the teams, having them focus on the web version. Even TweetDeck on the web will ‘time out’ and you need to login again. I used to regularly harass them about it via tweets. That’s why I’m sad.

Just putting your content onto the web or digital devices isn’t a learning solution, it’s an information solution. Why ebooks, not on the web? This is a good thing, but I think it’s time to think even further. Because, frankly, the ebook formats are still too limited. I just find it challenging to read on screen.

Take LinkedIn, for example; when I connect to someone using the app on the qPad, I can then send them a message, but when I do it through the web interface on my computer, it wants to use one of those precious ‘InMail’s.
