Some types: slideshare presentation, event management, livecasting or live streaming, social network aggregators, social news aggregators (which is different then just news posts), video sharing (say YouTube) and this is just a few. Again, very nice.

Web conferencing integrations – Zoom is hot, so look for that, WebEx, Gotomeeting are the other ones that often appear. The more the better. APIs to connect to the membership platform the association is using. Push and Pull data is important.

Can I connect to GoToMeeting, Skype, WEBEX or some other type of solution? That’s nice and all, but as a wearable technology vendor with a solution such as this, they should have a variety of apps that people can select and download OR that come with the solution and people just say “select X” and it installs. .

Thinking Cap – UI is average, but feature set includes customizing labels, masthead among others, nice social set including live chat, forums, streaming, web conferencing via WebEx, integrated e-mail. As for the bigger names – WebEx, GotoMeeting and so on? Fuze does a nice job, but they only allow so many participants which hurts them. Google Hangouts, you hit drops all the time, same with Skype. Still mixed bag. Authoring Tools.

Best of all, there are plenty of solid ones out there, that are less expensive than say WebEx or GoToMeeting. One note, I have never found a perfect WC solution. Rather, I and many others find ones that freeze up, drop calls, have tech issues and so forth. That is the reality today.

Both use a web conferencing provider to offer this “virtual training or virtual learning” Mind Gym is WebEx. Two ILT companies, Fierce and Mind Gym now offer a “virtual instructor” – which is their e-learning entry point (although they probably won’t state it as such). Fierce is Adobe Connect. .

API marketplace – you have a nice set of APIs that an end user can add – again, the one click and it goes into your system is the best way to do this – examples: Slideshare, Skype, Dropbox, BUT WAIT – Why not Gotomeeting, Webex and another web conferencing tools. Whalla, now I can.
