Preview of Game Design Workshop at DevLearn

The other day I had a conversation with David Kelly of the eLearning Guild about a game design workshop Sharon Boller of Bottom Line Performance and I are doing at the upcoming DevLearn Conference in Las Vegas.

Here is a short video of our discussion

And here is a link to our workshop called Play to Learn, we’ve had some GREAT times with learners in the past with this workshop and we expect some great times at this workshop. Here are some of the paper prototypes workshop attendees have created in the past.

In the workshop we discuss games and game elements for instruction and then, as groups, the attendees create a paper prototype of a game and then have others play the game. It’s a great way of really grokking the entire instructional game development process and…it’s a lot of fun. Hope to see you there.
