SCORM 2004 3rd edition, SCORM 2004 4th edition (rarely used), AICC, PENS – all of which are compliance standards, each with strengths and minuses. . Oh, there is also API (Application Program Interface) and Mashups (two more APIs – great example – Google Maps whereas they show restaurants, businesses, etc.).

JeL SIM- simulations requires experience of the Java programming language to create a numerical model of the system/concept being simulated. SCORM compliance and/or AICC – there are tools out there who support neither – but that is not the norm and there are a few tools out there who also support PENS. Screen capture.

2004 (3rd edition) included. Only a few support PENS, which is a shame, because it really does some very cool things. No programming skills needed. Where can you find this without having to have the programming skill sets needed to do so? Output to HTML5. At least SCORM support – Plenty still support AICC.

WYSIWYG/HTML/Javascript/maybe CSS options as well, perhaps even additional programming languages you can incorporate, a full package of capabilities inc. PENS was created in 2005 by AICC as a new interoperability standard. If your RCAT only outputs to SCORM 2004 and my LMS vendor only accepts 1.2, Otherwise, L8R! Bad Trends.
