Why do searches on e-Learning terms drop dramatically?

Searches on Google on some e-Learning related terms are dropping year by year: searches on Instructional design for example dropped by 80% since 2005. Is this a decline in interest for e-Learning or is a signal for something else? I do not believe it is a declining interest in e-Learning. On SCORM the drop is 83%.

Skills WANTED

Sure you can watch a video on Salesforce CRM or Lotus 1-2-3, but people learn best when the content is interactive and mimics the product. Where is the content to assure that someone who is worried about losing their job due to lack of technical skills, is provided the opportunity to select and learn various technical skills?

I wouldn’t call it pondering rather I would call it a huge misnomer in the entire authoring tool industry, course development industry – with vendors here – when it comes to course standards. I’ve even seen it with LMS vendors. There are LMS vendors who no longer accept AICC. Vendor buy-in.

Yes there are vendors doing some new stuff, okay many, but a few items are not new, rather they have been around for a long time. SaaS boost – Finally more vendors are on the appropriate path for their consumers; but the big folks are not – why? There I said it and honestly I can’t believe I said it.
