Apple's recent refusal to support Flash is the latest of many headaches web developers have had to endure as the web has matured but standards have been slow to respond. I mentioned this to a Flash developer at lunch today and I could see the frustration in his eyes wondering how he's going to meet the needs of his customers who use iPads.

To combat “boring” eLearning experiences, programs like Adobe Flash and Director came on the scene with an animated bang (anyone else remember the bird crash vector animation from the early Flash demos?) PowerPoint driven applications like Articulate Presenter and iSpring certainly make eLearning easier to create. Tweet This!

Some vendors push heavily on PPT, implying that a great WBT is really a PPT converted to Flash. Flash output – still red hot. In the latest podcast featuring Volkner Zimmerman who is on the executive board at IMC-AG, he explicitly states that HTML5 is necessary in any course output for mobile. It isn’t. Again, why?

Articulate Storyline has been surrounded by a lot of hype for quite some time, and its launch has been no exception. Storyline continues on the success of the Articulate Studio product line with a new, yet familiar feeling authoring tool. Without rehashing any of the Flash vs. HTML5 debate, the fact is the web is in a state of flux.

does work with 64 bit and PowerPoint 2007 or below, because I have PowerPoint 2010 and a Windows 64 bit computer. Library pulls in your video, audio, flash and image files right from your video,image, flash, audio folders on your computer – GREAT IDEA – although I wish they added HTML5. I am unsure if Snap!
