It's always interesting to look back at the past year - 2008, think about what has changed for me during the year, and think about what that means for the next year - 2009. We won't hear much this year, but in 2009, this will be something you'll hear in a big way. went mainstream and likely this will continue to grow in 2009.

They interact with various social media to understand what could be dangerous should be avoided while on the Internet. The goal of the game is for teams to learn how to more effectively use social media tools for collaboration, communication, and learning while fighting zombies together throughout the conference.

And, I just saw a post Measuring Networked (or Social) Learning that discusses how we could go about measuring social learning. Learning needs - differences between the learning needs or demand between “formal” and “social” learning (are some skills best learnt formally?), Measuring Social Learning is going to be VERY difficult.

Emergence of social media (and reviewed focus on social and informal learning). The ability to measure informal learning may be done through the system itself, and constant tracking of some metrics will help learning designers monitor the ‘learning/performance health’ of the system and its users.
