Holocaust Museum has some really well done effectives like fire and falling glass. Class visits the Holocaust Museum in Second Life. This class consisted of three different parts. The first part we visited the exhibit at the US Holocaust Museum.

12 eLearning Predictions for 2009

In my post, 2008 2009 - written in December 2008, I looked at how well I did in those predictions, and my results were pretty good, not perfect. Some training will still be preferred face to face such as when team building or in-person soft skills are important, but 2009 will be the year when we realize that we should be justifying any in-person training. 2009 is going to be a big year for this issue. Seven Tips for an Easy and Effective LMS Switch

A recent survey on customers’ happiness with their LMS (conducted in Jan 2009, published in Mar 2009) by Bersin & Associates observed: “The study found that a significant proportion of LMS customers – fully one-quarter of customers – are dissatisfied with their systems and say they are likely to switch vendors within the next year.” A vendor who implemented LMS replacements similar to yours in scale will be able to drive your switch-over faster and in an effective manner.

Many thanks must go to e-learning developers Epic for putting together this event and allowing their own industry to be placed under the microscope. The motion was as follows: "This house believes that the e-learning of today is essential for the important skills of tomorrow."
