Three months ago, only a few systems had either integrated for no additional charge or for additional fees, a talent management/performance management feature set. to add a talent management/performance mgt components in their system. That said, many will hedge their bets by supporting smartphones. Supports Flash and HTML5. Plateau is now called SuccessFactors.

Big Dog (Saba, SumTotal, Plateau, Cornerstone OnDemand, Learn.com). If you are seeking TM as your focus and you want one of the big dogs – I found Plateau’s system to offer appropriate functionality for it, but found some real concern in other areas (see my product review). Please remember for TM or as some vendors like to pitch as “performance management or knowledge management&# , the modules are extra and are not part of the system (at least for now).

I have always seen then as talent/performance management platform which was becoming more of a HCM and this only re-confirmed it. Plateau is long gone and buried and people should realize that. A few years back I had a call with Saba and in the call they told me that 63% of their customers were using their platform as a talent and performance management system and not as a LMS. Service and support is lackluster.
