Not sure how SAP will eventually impact the system, but for today it stands strong. The system can either be SaaS or hosted on your own servers.

Cannot skin on the SaaS version and even if you host it on your own servers you have to do it via CSS code (this is not uncommon in the VLP market, but it still is a minus in book). Specifically: No SSO between SF and SAP. Certificates can look differently from one to the next.
