New E-Learning Rankings: Authoring Tools

Here is how these new rankings will work throughout 2013: Debut this month, update in July, final top 25 in Dec. This solution reminds me of Articulate Studio in terms of its capabilities, but at a lower cost. They are reporting that in March 2013 you will be able to output to HTML5. Therefore, new rankings are in order.

Authoring Tool Market – What I am seeing

Image editing – several vendors are offering this – I expect more to follow suit – but not huge numbers by the end of 2013. Speech to text and vice versa – small growth. The text to speech has a better chance at solid growth.

The Latest: Rapid Content Authoring Tool Market

I believe once Articulate and some of the other big names truly launch products (such as Storyline), the market will wait. Text to Speech – This feature has been around for several years and now it is slowly appearing in a few RCAT products. This is going to be huge by 2013 in the consumer marketplace. Again, why?
