On June 2nd, 2015, we were part of a joint webinar presented by Bersin and CUES. Answer: xAPI allows for learners to be identified by email address, Open ID or an account on some system, such as an LMS. For privacy reasons, a hashed version of the email address can also be used. Open Source LRS.
