I can’t speak to Lectora or the latest versions of Storyline, but I’ve used both Captivate (starting with version 3 all the way through the 2017). I’m also a regular user of Storyline 2 as well as Camtasia Studio.

Similar to the one I had for an LMS, here is the Authoring Tool version for 2017. Lectora Online . Products like Captive, Claro, Lectora and Storyline enabled the ID folks to create robust courses. Yes, most vendors already have it, but is it as strong as say Camtasia? . Speaking of trends. . Integration. Fast Forward.

Adobe Captivate (2017). Adobe Captivate 2017, more commonly referred to as ‘Captivate’ is the latest release from tech giant Adobe. Like Storyline, Lectora Inspire is a Windows-based desktop authoring tool, although they have added a cloud-based version called Lectora Online which creates HTML5 content.
