Two TiER1 Projects Win 2023 LTEN Excellence Awards

Philips Healthcare and Roche Diagnostics International took home two awards.

Six members of our life sciences team traveled to Phoenix, Arizona, in mid-June to represent TiER1 Performance at the 52nd Life Sciences Trainers & Educators Network (LTEN) Annual Conference. Four TiER1 project teams were recognized alongside partner organizations as finalists during the ninth annual LTEN Excellence Awards, the only professional awards program specifically recognizing excellence, innovation, and performance in life sciences training.

Two TiER1 projects received top recognition:

  • Philips Healthcare won the Quality, Research, Development & Medical Training Innovation, Impact & Efficiency Award for its Clinical Learning Journeys, a blended learning experience that provides flexible, personalized, and relevant education for clinical staff that exceeds regulatory requirements as well as consulting that is contextualized to their specific workflows, policies, and procedures.
  • Roche Diagnostics International won an Innovation Award for The Roche Marketing Excellence Academy, a global, best-in-class development program based on the Roche marketing competency model that offers marketing professionals from varying backgrounds and regions certification-level training.

Two additional TiER1 projects were recognized as finalists:

  • Takeda Pharmaceutical was recognized as a finalist for the Training for Change Award for change work that standardized and aligned the onboarding experience across all business units.
  • Eli Lilly and Company was a finalist for the All-Stars Team Award for expertly facilitating the life cycle of clinical trial site training from strategy to delivery.

While TiER1 engages with the LTEN community throughout the year as a Gold Preferred Industry Partner, the annual conference—which is the nation’s largest gathering of life sciences trainers and educators—provides an opportunity to connect with and learn from more than 1,000 learning and development professionals in the industry. It’s also an opportunity for us to share what we’ve learned from partnering with global life sciences organizations.

In addition to our award posters, TiER1er Zach Warner presented a workshop with Jennifer Bertram, a Hospital Patient Monitoring Education and Training Innovation Leader from Philips Healthcare, about Philips’s award-winning digital clinical learning journeys. TiER1ers Leanne Batchelder and Kristen Hewett also shared expertise during their learning lab about designing and developing corporate academies with business goals and measurement in mind. Throughout the conference, TiER1ers Scarlett Meadows and Sara DesJardins also engaged with numerous attendees at our booth in the exhibit hall.
